If you find yourself in a landscape of confusion, smallness, and powerlessness, it can feel very isolating and bewildering. You are not alone. I’ve beaten a well-worn path through this territory and can help you navigate it, too. On my way, I’ve discovered effective techniques and methods to help you emerge into freedom and wholeness.
I am Jeffrey Rich, practitioner, author, speaker, and educator in the healing arts living and working in the mountains of Western North Carolina. I have more than two decades' experience in studying and teaching the healing arts.
My healing practice has animist roots. It is an integral part of my life and an expression of my passion and vitality. For more than 30 years I've searched for the answers to "why?" Why do we experience the things we do and where do these influences come from? This has led me to deep study with beloved teachers in the fields of Compassionate Depossession, Curse and Thoughtform Unraveling, Space Clearing, Ancestral Healing, and study the Andean Cosmology with teachers in the Andes.
I study the ways that energies affect the human body, to understand more how the energies of the places we live affect us. I want to know how to soften these influences for us all.
I've always been curious. I want to know how things work, how they tick. I want to see what's around that corner, what's over there.
As an intuitive child, I was aware of the energies around me; I sensed things. I wasn't afraid of the dark, I was afraid of what was in the dark. I knew when the phone would ring and who would be calling. I knew who'd drop by the house unannounced. I come by this honestly: my Ancestors carry a healthy dose of intuitive gifts on both sides.
My interest in energy began with an intense curiosity about electricity and magnetism when I was little. I went to Engineering School to become an Electrical Engineer because I was so curious about these phenomena. Later in my software career, I felt that I was off-track somehow and that I wasn't making a difference. So I spoke to the Universe and asked for a new direction.
Massage school was a decision to explore something new. With massage, my intuitive doors opened wide again. First came Reiki, then animism. The connection felt deep as if I'd arrived home to something within myself. With this came greater training and awareness in energy medicine, energy healing, and myriad questions about how spiritual energies affect the human body.
I always wanted to do something to help others that was more immediate. Writing software was great. I loved it. And ... I hardly ever met my clients/customers face-to-face. When I was a child growing up in Asheville, I did things that I thought would help people. My science teacher, Mr. Longnecker, taught me about recycling and getting along with the Earth. I think that's why I searched for and found one of the planet's oldest systems of Earth-centered spirituality: the Andean Cosmology.
Just before I turned 10, a commercial appeared featuring the song, "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing In Perfect Harmony". Its message, not the product, awakened my heart and became a central idea of mine. I still want to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony, furnish it with love, grow apple trees and honeybees, and stand hand in hand.
I still search for answers, and I still operate by these ideals. My private practice reflects it.
The energies of the Ancestors and Family, Nature, and the Cosmos affect our physical bodies.
Memories reside in the body. Trauma gets locked in soft tissue. We are affected by the energies of the places we live. We are affected by our Family System and by the unfinished business of our Ancestors and all that they have gone through so that we can be here. We are affected by the Celestial Beings who share space with us in the many dimensions we all inhabit together.
I don't have all of the answers yet. Energy Healing and the Andean Cosmology's extraordinarily sophisticated personal energy harmonizing practices are the best methods I've found so far. I've been beautifully buoyed up by many loving and skilled people who came before me.
